The Cross River State Police Command has confirmed the kidnapping of some passengers, together with a pastor, round Nde 3 Corners, Akparabong Junction in Ikom Native Authorities Space of the state.
It was gathered that the passengers have been travelling for the New 12 months celebration when the incident occurred on Sunday, December 31, 2023.
Based on experiences, the gunmen shot at their automobiles, injuring three whereas an unspecified quantity was taken away to an unknown vacation spot.
Spokesperson of the command, SP Irene Ugbo who gave the affirmation of the incident, stated efforts have been on to safe the discharge of the kidnapped passengers.
It was gathered that the District Superintendent and Treasurer of Obubra District of Assemblies of God Church, Cross River State chapter have been kidnapped on the identical spot on Saturday.
