Womenovate has announced the 4th edition of its flagship World Education Day Conference (WEDC25), which aims to improve educational equity through Artificial Intelligence (AI).
According to the body, the conference themed “Learning for Lasting Peace: Educational Equity Through AI—Tools for Advancing Education in Underserved Areas” is scheduled for January 24, 2025, in Abuja, Nigeria.
According to reports, AI technologies can be highly beneficial for students, helping them personalise their learning, navigate research, and break down complex concepts from class.
Motunrayo Opayinka, Womenovate’s chief executive officer, said, “The World Education Day Conference is a cornerstone of our commitment to fostering educational equity.
“This year’s theme underscores the role of AI in bridging gaps in education, especially in underserved areas, while promoting peace and sustainable development. We invite partners and participants to join us in shaping the future of education and ensuring no one is left behind.”
WEDC25 will convene a diverse group of stakeholders, including government representatives, entrepreneurs and private-sector business leaders, and policymakers, among many others.
The conference will also serve as a platform for high-level discussions, policy advocacy, and knowledge sharing on the intersection of artificial intelligence, educational equity, and sustainable development.
