Edo State deputy governor, Dennis Idahosa, on Tuesday, said the Governor Monday Okpebholo-led administration will develop the rural areas to engender sustainable growth in the state.
In a statement signed by Idahosa’s Chief Press Secretary, Friday Aghedo, the deputy governor stated this when he played host to the Association of Local Government Secretaries, Edo State chapter in Benin.
Idahosa said the present administration would keep faith with its campaign promises and speed up development across the 18 council areas of the state.
He solicited the commitment and dedication of the secretaries to their respective council bosses as they strived to achieve the mantra of the governor across the 18 local governments.
He said: “Grassroots development remains sacrosanct to my principal, Governor Monday Okpbebholo. I urge you all to give 100 per cent loyalty to your chairmen and key into the S.H.I.N.E. agenda of the current administration.”
Spokesman of the Secretaries, Pastor Eromosele Oigbochie, said that the governor’s victory at the tribunal had spurred them to rededicate their loyalty to the party and service to the people at the grassroots.
He commended the performance of the present administration, citing the construction of a fly-over bridge to decongest traffic gridlock at Ramat Park which is the first of its kind since the creation of the state as a major plus for the administration.
Oigbochie pledged their support and loyalty to the administration of Senator Monday Okpebholo to enable it to record meaningful progress in transforming the state to an enviable heights.
