Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo, has terminated a road contract awarded to a contracting firm, NBHH Engineering Company.
Governor Soludo lambasted the company over negligence and delay in delivering nine roads totaling 14.053km in Okpoko.
The Governor announced the immediate termination of the road project contract when he visited the site unannounced on Tuesday, February 20, 2024.
Soludo, who addressed the supervisor of the project said: “This road was supposed to be ended by June last year. Eight months afterwards, you are yet to complete it.
“You don’t have the capacity to do the job. The job was supposed to last for nine months and you were adequately mobilized.
“This is February 20 and you are supposed to have delivered the job. It shows that you are totally incompetent to do the job. After we paid you 59 percentage mobilisation.
