Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony in Soba, Governor Sani emphasised his commitment to improving socio-economic infrastructure in rural areas by developing roads and drainage networks throughout rural local government headquarters.
He said, the new road which will connect Turawa to Dinya through Da’a, Kurungupi and Kadage, will facilitate easy movement of people and farm produce from farms to markets, thereby reducing post-harvest losses.
He noted that his administration was dedicated to enhancing rural infrastructure to benefit the grassroots, aiming to curb rural-urban migration.
At the groundbreaking ceremony for the reconstruction of a 6km asphalt road from Rafin Guza to Hayin Na’iya, Malali Gabas, and Kukumaki, Governor Sani also highlighted the importance of the project and his administration’s rural transformation initiative.
He said priority were being given to the upgrade of infrastructure to ensure development reaches all parts of the state, adding that, improved road network will support economic activities by bridging the infrastructure deficit, creating job opportunities for the youth, and enhancing the livelihoods of citizens.
While assuring that, the urban areas would not be neglected, Gov Sani said, “many residents in these areas are poor and underserved. By bringing development to their doorsteps, our administration aims to improve their quality of life.
“The kind of roads that you see when you go to the GRA in the town, we would build such for you here. You will soon have well-constructed roads in your own communities too,” he said.
Earlier in his welcome address, Kaduna State Commissioner of Public Works and Infrastructure, Dr. Hamza Soba, highlighted that the Uba Sani administration has undertaken numerous projects that positively impact the lives of Kaduna State residents.
