In a bid to reinvigorate the Kaduna State Civil Service, Governor Uba Sani has appointed Jummai Bako as the new Head of Service in the state.
He also appointed Ibrahim Balarabe as the Executive Secretary, Kaduna State Pension Bureau, and CP Ali D. Audu (Rtd.) as the new Commander, Kaduna State Vigilance Service (KADVIS).
While congratulating the new appointees, Governor Sani charged them to approach their assignments with renewed vigor, total commitment, a deep sense of humility, fairness, and integrity.
He urged them to deploy their vast experience and knowledge to deliver on their institutional mandates and wished them God’s guidance in their new roles.

According to a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ibraheem Musa, Jummai Bako, the new Head of Service, was formerly the Permanent Secretary (Establishment, Management & Training) in the Office of the Head of Service. She replaces Habiba Anana Shekarau.
An Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Economists of Nigeria, Jummai Bako has served in various capacities, including Director (Budget) and Director (Monitoring and Evaluation) in the Ministry of Planning and Budget Commission.
A former lecturer at Bauchi State Polytechnic, Bauchi, she was also a Senior Planning Officer at the Kaduna State Local Government Service Commission (2006–2008), and an Education Officer at the State Ministry of Education.
Jummai Bako holds a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from Kaduna State University, a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Bayero University, Kano, and a Diploma in Computer Operations from Kaduna Community Resource Centre.
The new Executive Secretary of the Kaduna State Pension Bureau, Ibrahim Balarabe, is a seasoned administrator with vast experience in Nigeria’s financial sector and a track record of discipline, commitment, and hard work. He replaces Prof. Salamatu Idris Isah.
Balarabe retired in May 2023 from the Board of Access Pensions Limited, where he served as Executive Director (North) for seven years.
He has over 31 years of corporate and public service experience, including 18 years in the Contributory Pension Scheme (Sigma & Access Pensions), 11 years in banking (First Bank of Nigeria, International Trust Bank, and Magnum Trust Bank), and two years in public service (National Directorate of Employment).
According to the statement, the new Commander of the Kaduna State Vigilance Service (KADVIS), CP Ali Audu (Rtd.), is a retired Commissioner of Police renowned for the effective deployment of strategic and tactical skills. He replaces Brigadier General Umar Ibrahim (Rtd.).
He previously served as Commissioner of Police, Kaduna State Command (2023–2024); Commissioner of Police, Border Patrol, Force Headquarters, Abuja; Commissioner of Police, Police Mobile Force, Force Headquarters, Abuja; and Commandant, Police Mobile Force Training College, Ende Hills, Nasarawa.
CP Ali Audu (Rtd.) brings expertise in professional policing, tactical training, administration, and operations. He has attended professional courses on strategic training command, advanced human rights observance and civil-military cooperation, simulation, tactical leadership, and unit combat operations.
