Jigawa State Governor Umar Namadi has signed the 2025 budget of N145.3 billion into law.
While signing the budget at the council chamber in the Dutse government house, the governor stated that this budget is the highest in the history of the state.
While asseinting the budget, Namadi said “Today marks another important day in our efforts to make Jigawa greater as we’ve signed our second appropriation bill since assuming office”.
According to him “And another important thing is that about 76 per cent of the budget is for capital projects and this shows our stride and our desire to develop Jigawa state.”

He said allocating over 70 percent on capital expenditures is a clearly shows the present administration strength and desires to develop Jigawa state, “this budget carefully crafted, on this budget we have clear objectives, we are clear on our revenue and expenditures”.
The governor therefore commended state House of Assembly for the expeditious passage of the appropriation bill, added that the scrutiny and speed in the passage of the budget signified the synergy between the executive and the legislature.
Malam Namadi also called for continued collaborations between all arms of government to ensure effective delivery of democracy dividends to the of people.
