Adamawa Governor, Ahamdu Umaru Fintiri has vowed to prosecute all those who attempted to steal the people’s mandate in the last governorship election in the State.
Fintiri who was addressing the state after the court verdict for the first time noted that” I remain calm when the coup to steal your mandate failed even when the perpetrators had the temerity and shamelessness went to courts to look for what they failed to forcefully take”.
” As for those who connived with the then Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) Hudu Ari to make the state pass through those democratically embarrassing moments will be duly prosecuted according to the dictates of the law”
“We are humbled by the facts that we all have choosing a better future for our dear state through the massive votes we scored in the last election”.
“Adamawa state is a PDP state as shown in last Saturday’s house of assembly re- run election in Mayo-belwa”.
The governor further reiterated his government commitment to serve the state with a renewed dedication to the ongoing policy of free education through the functional public school system and payment of WAEC and NECO as well as health care, health insurance that makes it easier for the vulnerable to access quality service.
It could be recalled that the embattled REC had declared Binani winner when the coalition of results was still ongoing and the APC candidate while the candidate, Senator Ashatu Binani gave an acceptance speech.
INEC, in a swift reaction, declared REC’s declaration null and void.
