Following the creation of a new Emirates and chiefdom late last year, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has approved the selection of seven new traditional rulers in the state.
In a statement by Fintiri’s Chief Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou, made available to Tribune Online, had the newly selected Royal Highnesses as HRH Alhaji Sani Ahmadu Ribadu: Emir of Fufore, HRH Barrister Alheri B. Nyako: Tol Huba, and HRH Prof. Bulus Luka Gadiga: Mbege Ka Michika.
Others are HRH Dr Ali Danburam (MBBS, FWACP, FCCP): Ptil Madagali, HRH Aggrey Ali: Kumu of Gombi, HRH Ahmadu Saibaru: Emir of Maiha and HRH John Dio: Gubo Yungur
Governor Fintiri congratulated the new monarchs, emphasising that their selections were based on merit and their popularity among the people.
He urged them to be fair, honest, and responsible in their duties. The approval takes effect immediately.
