Gov. Eno declares Jan. 2 public vacation in Akwa Ibom

Gov. Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom has declared Jan. 2, 2024, work free to allow the state residents to attend a New 12 months inter-denominational thanksgiving service.

 

The service is scheduled to happen on the Worldwide Christian Worship Centre, Uyo.

 

Eno made this identified whereas talking at his hometown, Ikot Ekpene Udo, in Nsit Ubium Native Authorities Space on Tuesday.

 

He spoke in the course of the maiden version of  Nsit Ubium Day.

 

He known as on all Akwa Ibom residents to end up en masse as a folks united below one God for the service.

 

“Don’t overlook that on the second of January, we can be having an Akwa Ibom New 12 months Service on the Worldwide Christian Worship Centre.

 

“The Worldwide Worship Centre is prepared. We’ve declared a work-free day for all Akwa Ibom folks to come back and worship and commit the yr into God’s hand,” Eno stated.

 

He urged that the unity and progress recorded within the state ought to be sustained by way of collective efforts.

 

Eno stated that the service can be a platform to convey Akwa Ibom folks collectively to strengthen the peace and unity of the state.

 

The governor renewed his pledge to work for the unity and prosperity of the state and to justify the arrogance of the voters in him.

 

He thanked his predecessor, Mr Udom Emmanuel, different 0political stakeholders, royal fathers, non secular leaders and others for efforts to develop the state.

 

“I thank all of you for coming right here at present. This is sort of a unity occasion, bringing all of us collectively, on this small village of Ikot Ekpene Udo.

 

“By popping out like this, you might be putting a larger duty on our shoulders, as a result of to whom a lot is given, a lot is predicted.

In his remarks, former Gov.  Emmanuel praised Eno for utilizing the occasion to advertise love, peace and concord within the state.

 

The previous governor urged Akwa Ibom folks to proceed to wish for Eno’s administration for fulfillment.
