Ondo State Governor, Fortunate Aiyedatiwa, on Tuesday accredited the cost of N1.2 billion to totally offset the gratuity of the state’s civil servants who retired 10 years in the past in 2014.
The governor additionally voted N320 million for the cost of month-to-month pensions.
Press Officer on the Workplace of the Head of Service, Mr Sina Adeyeye, acknowledged in Akure that cheques can be offered to the retirees on Thursday.
“As a part of efforts to settle the backlog of gratuity of state retirees, the governor, Mr Fortunate Aiyedatiwa, has accredited N1.2 billion to totally offset the gratuity of the 2014 set of retirees.
“Gratuities of those that retired in 2013 had been paid in 2023, whereas those that retired in 2011 and a few of those that retired in 2012 from the native governments have additionally been cleared.
