Nigerian comedian and actor, Ayo Makun, better known as AY, has taken to social media to share a cryptic post hours after his wife, Mabel, released a statement about their marital crisis.

It was earlier reported that the interior designer confirmed that they have parted ways after twenty years together, and even described AY as her ex-husband.

She also stated that her dream of having a lifelong marriage has taken a different direction and expressed her commitment to moving forward with grace and resilience. She also appealed for privacy and consideration as they navigate this new phase. ICYMI, read here

Moments after the post, AY took to his Instagram page to share a cryptic post, stating that ‘this too shall pass’, seemingly referring to their marital turmoil.

His post has sparked a wave of comments on social media, with many urging him to set aside his pride and apologize to his wife because twenty years of being together is no small feat.
