The Kano Secretary of the All Progressive Congress (APC), K/Alhaji Zakari Sarina, has said that the National Chairman of the APC, Alhaji (Dr) Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, was not disturbed by the activities of sponsored agents in his ward.
He was reacting on Monday against the backdrop of a row over a fresh suspension by a new group that claimed to have suspended Dr Ganduje, and he dismissed the purported actions as “null and void.”
He therefore stated that “from available records, those behind the latest oddity are political jobbers who have offered themselves for pecuniary benefits at behest of dignity.
Sarina said the onslaught by the sponsored agents are a confirmation that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is popular in Kano and only waiting for time to reclaim power.
“I must make it clear that we are undeterred by the activities of these Impostors because their style lacks finesse and sophistication and has further exposed their political naivety.”
According to him, “How can a member of the party suspend a legitimate member who was governor for eight years and rose to become the national chairman of our party?”
“it is impracticable for a non-member to slam a National officer with suspension without recourse to laid-down procedures as enshrined in the party’s constitution.
He, however, disclosed that “they don’t belong to Progressive because a right-thinking party member will not work towards destroying a legitimate member who was governor for 8 years and rose to become a national chairman.
Sarina hinted that “Because they are outsiders, they are simply not aware of the internal workings or ground rules of the APC on disciplinary actions, hence they resort to poor strategy that cannot stand logic and reasons.
Unknown to them”We from ward local government level and state are solely behind our leader, who has contributed positively towards the political growth of our party .
He, however, stated that the sponsored group couldn’t do their homework properly by using a fake or uncertified piece of paper on which they drew a list of non-existing party executives.
“To worsen their situation, the leader of the group who announced the purported suspension is an NNPP member who contested but lost the councilorship election in Ganduje ward.”
He, however, tasked the media not to offer their platforms to promote falsehoods in light of their role in sustainable democracy.
Sarina, however, advises that the media should, as a matter of fact, scrutinise issues that are of paramount importance to the growth of democracy by being drivers and purveyors.
