Amidst the political battle he is facing, the embattled National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, commissioned a road constructed by the Gombe State Government and named after him in Gombe metropolis on Wednesday.

The 1.6-kilometer-long road stretches from GRA to the Gombe Southern By-pass, linking Nayi-Nawa, Kuwait, Bagadaza, Hammadu Kafi, and Wuro Biriji communities in Akko local government, all densely populated areas within the Gombe metropolis.

During the project’s commissioning, the National Chairman of the APC, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, commended Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for his transformative governance in Gombe state. He highlighted the significant progress the state has experienced under his leadership, which he said is in line with the fundamental principles upon which the APC was formed.

According to him, “Today, we are in Gombe on the invitation of my brother, His Excellency, Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya CON, for a political function regarding the forthcoming Local Government Elections.”

He also said, “To my delight, the Governor has graciously chosen to honor me by naming an important road after me, which I am deeply grateful for.”

Abdullahi Ganduje added, “President Tinubu and the leadership of our party are very proud of the accomplishments of Governor Inuwa Yahaya. His outstanding leadership sets an example, bringing positive change to Gombe state.”

According to him, “We are aware that through extensive infrastructure projects and welfare initiatives, the Governor consistently delivers on our party’s founding principles by improving the lives of the people of Gombe state.”

The former Kano State Governor further remarked that the newly commissioned road will ameliorate the hardships faced by the beneficiaries, emphasizing the road’s potential to enhance livelihoods and boost commercial activities within the areas.

He, however, encouraged the entire people of Gombe state to continue supporting the Inuwa Yahaya-led administration to deliver effective governance through projects and policies aimed at improving their lives.

Earlier speaking, the Commissioner of Works, Housing, and Transport, Engr. Maijama’a Kallamu, informed Governor Inuwa Yahaya’s guest, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, and his team about the road named after him, explaining that it is part of the extensive road construction initiative, ‘Network 11-100’, aimed at building a minimum of 100 kilometers of roads in each of the state’s 11 local government areas.

The National Chairman of the APC was flanked during the commissioning exercise by Governor Inuwa Yahaya, the Deputy Governor, Dr. Manassah Daniel Jatau, the Special Assistant to the President on Political Matters, Alh. Ibrahim Masari, Chief Whip of the House of Representatives, Hon. Usman Bello Kumo, members of the National Working Committee of the APC, the Speaker of Gombe State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Abubakar Luggerewo, the State Chairman of the APC, Mr. Nitte Amangal, the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Alh. Abubakar Inuwa Kari, and other top government officials and party stakeholders.
