The paramount ruler of Idoma Kingdom, Benue South, Dr John Odogbo Elaigwu, has given his royal blessings to the Acting Vice Chancellor, Federal University of Health Sciences, Otukpo (FUHSO), Prof Stephen Abah. He showered encomiums on the Abah, and the Registrar, Mr Michael Ogiji, when the management of the university paid a courtesy visit to his palace in Otukpo.
Elaigwu lauded the humility, patience, resilience and professionalism Abah, noting that the sky would be his starting point as he continues to lead the institution to greater heights.
The monarch, who is the Chancellor, Federal University, Otuoke, Bayelsa State, congratulated the acting vice chancellor and registrar.
He said FUHSO, as the first federal government-owned university of health sciences in Nigeria in Idomaland, must be guarded jealously by all to serve its original purpose.
“I rejoice with both of you. But I also implore you to respect your leaders so that your tomorrow will be good. Starting a new university from nothing isn’t a child’s play and I must state that the future of FUHSO is bright,” he stated.
Earlier, the Acting Vice Chancellor informed the monarch that he came with the university’s principal officers to seek his blessings, particularly, during the transition of the university.
Also speaking, the Director, Institution of Global Health and Health Security, (IGH&HS) of the University, Prof Onyemocho Audu, averred that FUHSO would continue to tap from the wise counsel and royal guidance of the paramount ruler.
