Association of Resident Doctors, Federal Teaching Hospital (FTH) Gombe, has conferred the transformational leadership award on the Senator representing Gombe South Senatorial District, Anthony Siyako Yaro for his contribution to the health sector.
The award was presented to him on Saturday by the Association’s President, Dr Ibrahim Salihu of the Surgery Department during a special meeting.
The Association commended the Senator for the various interventions he has done in the health sector of the state since his election stressing that it is worthy to be recognised.
The Association then urged him to see the recognition as a call to do more for the good of the people of the state and the country as a whole.
The President was accompanied by the Association’s Vice President, Dr. Ibrahim Obel Yaji of the Department of Community Medicine.
While acknowledging the honour done to him, Sen Siyako Yaro stated “I am deeply humbled and grateful to receive this prestigious award from the Association of Resident Doctors, Federal Teaching Hospital Gombe.
