SGR, a licensed marketer for Dangote Petroleum Refinery, has opened two additional fuel stations along the Shagamu-Ore expressway, retailing petrol at N878 per litre, a rate significantly lower than what is currently obtainable in many parts of the country.
This development brings the number of new SGR stations along the high-traffic corridor to four within two weeks, which the company describes as a strategic move to improve fuel accessibility and affordability for motorists and transporters.
During a brief commissioning ceremony, SGR’s general manager, Samuel Oyekanmi, said the expansion reflects the company’s focus on underserved but vital road networks.

“These new stations are an extension of our promise to be where Nigerians need us most. Shagamu-Ore is a vital route, and we’re making sure people have access to quality fuel, seamless service, and transparent pricing,” he said.
The newly launched stations were commissioned in the presence of Oyekanmi and branch managers Oladele Giwa and Musa Owolabi, who emphasised the company’s commitment to reliability and service excellence.
SGR’s presence in the corridor is part of a broader plan to deepen its reach in Nigeria’s downstream sector by leveraging its access to Dangote Petroleum Refinery products and a strong logistics backbone.
The company said it aims to deliver a consistent supply and consumer-friendly pricing across high-demand areas.
