As the first anniversary of the death of the late singer and songwriter, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba popularly known as Mohbad draws closer, the deceased’s family has petitioned the Inspector General of Police (IGP) and the Police Service Commission, expressing their grave concerns and profound disappointment regarding the handling of the investigation into the tragic death of their son.
In a letter signed by Taiwo Odumosu, a lawyer, on behalf of the Aloba family, the family expressed concerns over the manner the case has been managed, which they noted raises serious questions about the officers’ professionalism, diligence, and integrity.
The family specifically demanded the disbandment of the present team of investigators, urging the IGP to send a crack team from the headquarters to unravel the death of their son.
“All the policemen right from the Police Post at Lekki to the present investigating officers should be investigated, their bank accounts scrutinised and other issues to ensure that the officers are brought to justice.”
