Former England and Newcastle star, Alan Shearer has hit out at Chelsea forward, Nicolas Jackson, following the former Villarreal forward’s performance against Manchester City on Saturday.
Nicolas, 22, performed poorly in the 1-0 FA Cup semifinal loss to Pep Guardiola’s side.
Bernardo Silva scored the only goal of the night towards the end of the last minutes to take City to the final of the competition
But Mauricio Pochettino’s men will rue the chances they missed to win the game.
Jackson squandard at least three major chances to put them ahead.
He had a massive chance in the first half but was unable to take a shot at goal.
An opportunity to attack the goal saw the Senegalese shouldered off the ball by Kyle Walker.
He wasted all the opportunities provided to him on a platter, leading Shearer to slam his efforts
“Mauricio Pochettino feels Chelsea should be about fourth on expected goals, and this is exactly what he’s on about,” Shearer told BBC One.
“Jackson never looked comfortable. They are absolute sitters. They really are. Three great chances for him.”
