Former Manchester United forward, Garth Crooks, says Marcus Rashford would be the best player in the world if he emulate captain Bruno Fernandes’ appetite and attitude towards the game.
Rashford has endured a tumultuous season so far which has seen his place in Man United manager Erik ten Hag’s team questioned.
The 26-year-old attacker has scored just eight goals and provided five assists in 39 games across competitions for the Red Devils.
The England international is a shadow of himself compared to last season where he registered 30 goals and 10 assists in 56 games across competitions under Ten Hag.
However, Crooks has no doubts that Rashford has a huge talent but would be a world-beater if he followed Fernandes’ example.
He told BBC Sport: “Marcus Rashford would be the best player in the world if he had Burno Ferrnandes’s appetite and attitude towards the game.”
