Former Kano State House of Assembly members have described President Bola Tinubu’s appointment of a former majority leader of the 8th Kano House of Assembly, Baffa Babba DanAgundi, as Director General National Productivity Center (NPC), as a portrayal of the President’s belief in youths as a potential leader of the country and better Nigeria.
This was contained in a statement signed by the former speaker of the House of Assembly, Hon Kabiru Alhassan Rirum, on behalf of members, a copy made available to the press in Kano on Friday.
The members therefore congratulated Baffa as well as President Tinubu for the appointment,
Rirum stated that Nigeria today needs youths in the form of DanAgundi to bring new ideas that will progress the nation.
According to him, “The former Assembly members believe that Baffa DanAgundi, who was their former Majority leader of the 8th Kano State House of Assembly is a known person, a reliable leader and a trusted who always brings new ideas to the legislative chamber.
“His appointment recently as the Director General, National Productivity Centre by the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, prove the fact that a round peg is put in a round hole.”
He added that “we believed in Baffa’s resilience, hard work and mission to deliver excellently in whatever he does always.
“We pray God will continue to guide your life and that the Labour sector will record positive traits during your tenure, We fondly call you the Red Cock (Jan Zakara), known for defying all odds to succeed, please continue to make us proud,” the former speaker charged.
