The member representing Eket/Onna/Esit Eket/Ibeno Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Okpolupm Etteh, has called on the Akwa Ibom people and stakeholders to join hands in building peace, progress and unity in the state.
Etteh made the appeal following Governor Umo Eno’s victory at the Supreme Court.
Recall that Justice Uwani Abba-Aji-Panel dismissed the appeals by the All Progressives Congress, APC; Young Progressives Party, YPP; and the Action Alliance, AA; based on the non-qualification of Eno over allegations of certificate forgery.
Etteh, in a statement, congratulated the governor for his resilience and noted that the judgement has put paid to speculations, intimidations and all activities of the oppositions.
He noted that Akwa Ibom State remained a “project” for everyone, therefore, people should set aside their differences and support the governor inorder to make the state better.
According to him, “the apex Court ruling has put paid to speculations, intimidations and all activities of the oppositions. It has repositioned Akwa Ibom for peace, unity, progress, and prosperity.
“It is necessary that all stakeholders and the people of the state should join hands and make the Akwa Ibom Project, as led by Pastor Umo Eno, a success for us.”
