Thomas Gravesen has said his former Real Madrid team-mate, Zinedine Zidane, would turn down any offer from Manchester United.
Zidane has been linked with the Red Devils again, with speculations claiming United’s new co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe, wants the Frenchman to replace Erik ten Hag as manager.
Zidane has been out of work since leaving Real Madrid at the end of the 2020/2021 campaign.
Gravesen insists that the 51-year-old is holding out for a return to the Bernabeu, or positions at his former club Marseille and France’s national team as Didier Deschamps’ successor.
“I spoke to Zidane in Madrid two years ago and he told me that there are only three roles that he would like to accept,” Gravesen told Discovery Plus.
“And they are Marseille, [Real] Madrid and the French national team.”
