Manchester United have been approached by the agents of several coaches who believe Erik ten Hag could be sacked before the start of next season, ESPN reports.
Ten Hag is under pressure at Old Trafford, following a 3-1 defeat to Manchester City on Sunday.
United currently sit in sixth position on the Premier League table.
Ten Hag has been informed that qualifying for Champions League is vital to the club’s objective of investing in the squad this summer while also meeting profit and sustainability requirements.
But the Red Devils are 11 points behind fourth-placed Aston Villa with 11 fixtures to play.
Ten Hag has been fully involved in planning for the summer, but the 54-year-old has been given no formal guarantee by new minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe or his team that he will be in charge next season.
It has prompted approaches from out-of-work managers and others who are currently in jobs to find out whether there will be a vacancy.
