Former Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte has claimed that the Blues would have dominated the Premier League had they managed to sign two of his transfer targets, Romelu Lukaku and Virgil van Dijk, back in 2017.
Chelsea won the Premier League in Conte’s first season in charge at Stamford Bridge.
But the following season, Chelsea finished outside the top four and Conte decided to part ways with the club in the summer.
“After my first season at Chelsea we spoke with Romelu Lukaku and Virgil van Dijk,” Conte told TeleFootball.
“I think with those two important players we could have changed the situation.
“After first season, we could have become dominant in England.”
