The Ekiti State Government has cautioned motorists and other road users in and around Ado-Ekiti, to be patient and observe traffic as the second flyover project in the state capital commences.
Gani Titilope, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Works, in a statement, said major traffic diversion would soon be effected in Ado-Ekiti to allow for smooth takeoff of the project.
He explained that the action would minimize traffic gridlocks, prevent avoidable accidents and check undue interference in construction works.
The Permanent Secretary said,” Traffic flow from Akure/Ikere road will be diverted through Agric Olope to Odo Ado to Poly Road to Oke-Ila to Afao road, Okuta Gbokuta to Stadium, Okeisha, Dallimore Road.
He enjoined motorists, motorcyclists and other road users to exercise patience and obey traffic rules.
He said, ”Traffic movement from Fajuyi/Okesha route to go through the First Baptist Church (Adunni Olayinka drive) to Atikankan en route Oke-Bola to Little-by-Little Plaza/Access bank Ajilosun through Kay Kalax Hotel.
”Traffic from Ilawe Road to Ikere Road axis is diverted through Irona/Ekute to Mobil Ajilosun or Irona to Oke-Bola to Little-By-Little Plaza/Access Bank, Ajilosun by Kay Kalax Hotel.
”Post office to King’s Market becomes a two-way drive. All inconveniences are regretted”.
