Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago has reassured all citizens of the state that his administration will not leave anything to chance in securing lives and property.
The Governor, in his Eid-el-Fitr message to the Muslim faithful signed by his Chief Press Secretary Bologi Ibrahim, said even some of the Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs, in the state are safely returning to their ancestral homes.
“I want to use this opportunity to restate our commitment to achieving the “New Niger” policy of our administration and we are calling for the support and understanding of all citizens,” he stated.
While congratulating the Muslim faithful world-over on the successful completion of this year’s Ramadan fast and the Eid-el-Fitr celebration, he urged them to remain steadfast in the worship of Allah and to follow the teachings of the Quran and the Hadith
He observed, ” The Eid-el-Fitr celebration is a period of love, tolerance, and goodwill to all and another opportunity to remain devoted and submissive to the will of Allah.
” I urge Muslims to continue to uphold piety, patience, tolerance, perseverance, humility and self-denial which were observed vigorously during the Holy month beyond the period, for a better society”.
Bago also tasked the Muslim ummah to continue in their prayers for enduring peace in the State and the Nation.
