Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has assured residents of his administration’s readiness to collaborate with the Federal Government in tackling insecurity in the state.
Speaking at the Emir of Zazzau’s palace where he observed the Sallah Durbar celebration shortly after the Eid prayer in Zaria on Wednesday, the governor appealed to the citizens in the state to live according to the lessons of Ramadan.
According to him, “We have prayed for the peace of our state in the month of Ramadan and I want us to learn the lesson of Ramadan and continue to work for the peace and progress of the state and the country generally.”
He noted that the state is facing some challenges, especially insecurity, which he said his administration is working with the Federal Government to address.
The governor also called on the citizens to continue to work for the progress of the state.
The Emir of Zazzau, Alhaji Ahmed Bamalli, commended the Federal Government, the state government and security operatives for ensuring peace in Kaduna.
The Emir hailed the government for the rescue of the abducted Kuriga schoolchildren.
He also appreciated the efforts of the government towards resettling residents of Tudun Biri community.
