Niger Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago has congratulated the Muslim Faithful world over the successful completion of this year’s Ramadan fast and the Eid-el-fitr celebration.
The Governor, in a statement, by his Chief Press Secretary Bologi Ibrahim, urged Muslims to remain steadfast in the worship of Allah and to follow the teachings of the Quran and the Hadith
He observed that the Eid-el-fitr celebration is a period of love, tolerance, and goodwill to all and another opportunity to remain devoted and submissive to the will of Allah.
Governor Umaru Bago tasked Muslims to continue to uphold piety, patience, tolerance, perseverance, humility, and self-denial which were observed vigorously during the Holy month beyond the period, for a better society.
While also urging the Muslim ummah to continue in their prayers for enduring peace in the State and the Nation, he reassured all citizens that his administration would not leave anything to chance in securing lives and property even as some of the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) are safely returning to their ancestral homes.
The Governor used the opportunity to restate his commitment to achieving the “New Niger” policy of his administration while calling for the support and understanding of all citizens.
