Rivers United technical adviser Stanley Eguma has expressed optimism ahead of his team’s back-to-back away fixtures in the Nigeria Premier Football League.
The Pride of Rivers will face Doma United at the Pantami Stadium on Saturday before travelling to Enugu for the matchday 11 rescheduled fixture against Rangers on Wednesday.
Rivers United currently occupy 13th position on the table with 20 points.
“We expect to win almost every game because the league has gotten to a stage whereby every point counts and we don’t have to rely on home games,” he told Rivers United media.
“In the past, we’ve lost some points at home and we expect to get those points on the road.
“The players must show the right mentality to help us show that these matches (Doma United and Rangers) are matches we must get points.
“We are not going there to participate but with a mindset that the points are very important and see how we can grab some of the points.”
