The Financial and Monetary Crimes Fee, EFCC, has invited the suspended Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Betta Edu, to its headquarters in Abuja, for questioning over alleged fraud.
A supply on the EFCC confirmed to NAN on Monday that the suspended minister had been summoned and was anticipated to be on the fee’s workplace on Tuesday.
The supply mentioned that the invitation adopted her suspension from workplace by President Bola Tinubu over a controversial N585.189 million fee to a non-public checking account.
Tinubu had on Monday suspended Edu from workplace with instant impact and ordered the EFCC to totally examine the actions of the ministry.
The invitation was despatched to the suspended minister lower than half-hour after Nigeria President introduced her suspension from workplace.
