Chairman, Irepo local government area of Oyo state, Hon. Tunde Olayiwola, has said that education development among his people remains his priority as part of programmes to take the local government and constituents to greater heights.

Salaudeen Abdulmuiz Tobi, the council boss said that he is also committed to infrastructural development, security enhancement, community support and agriculture.
Olayiwola, who highlighted his achievements in first 100 days in office, said that his tenure has seen significant strides in various sectors.
“Education remains a priority for Hon. Olayiwola, as evidenced by several initiatives such as approval and upgrading of Liberty Text School, Kishi, to enhance educational standards in the community. Over 300 applicants for SUBEB positions benefitted from organized tutorial classes to ensure they were well-prepared for the recruitment process. He has also facilitated approval of Nana-Asmau Orphanage School to further broaden educational opportunities for vulnerable children”.
In the area of infrastructure development, the statement said that the council boss installed solar energy at the Irepo Local Government Secretariat to reduce operational costs and promote sustainable energy use.
“A lawn mower machine was purchased for the local government, ensuring that the environment remains well-kept.
“In addition, Hon. Olayiwola has supported the agriculture sector by distributing fertilizers to farmers across the 10 wards, boosting agricultural products despite the recent stoppage of rain.
“These achievements demonstrate Hon. Olayiwola’s dedication to improving the lives of residents in Irepo Local Government. As he continues his leadership, the community looks forward to more impactful projects and initiatives that will further enhance the quality of life for all.
“In the area of security, Hon. Olayiwola has prioritized the needs of law enforcement agencies and vigilantes. He has repaired the Nigerian Police Force (NPF) Kishi Division’s patrol vehicle, ensuring uninterrupted policing in the area.
“He has provided a boost to vigilante groups by repairing their patrol vehicle and presenting five motorcycles, enhancing their mobility and response time in combating crime. A joint task force was also created to secure the Kishi-Igbeti Forest Reserve route, a known hotspot for criminal activities, with necessary logistics provided to ensure effective operations.
“Hon. Olayiwola has also shown unwavering commitment to the development of Kishi and its environs through various community donations. He has provided financial aid for the maintenance of the Kishi Mini Stadium, a key recreational facility for the youth. The local division of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) received a motorcycle to enhance their operations. Furthermore, he has presented a generator and public address system to local corps members, ensuring they can carry out their duties efficiently”.
