A disputed land bordering Umobor-Akaeze and Ogwor-lshiagu in Ivo LGA of Ebonyi State has been declared a buffer zone by Govenor Francis Nwifuru.
The two communities have been engaged in a bloody tussle over ownership of the land.
Nwifuru consequently directed both parties to steer clear from the disputed land, warning that anybody found in the property would be made to face the wrath of the law.
The governor also directed security agencies to beef up security to ensure full compliance to the directive, and maintain law and order in the area.
This is contained in a statement issued on Thursday by the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Grace Umezurike.
The governor also invited 20 stakeholders from each of the communities to a meeting scheduled to hold on Monday, 16th December, 2024.
