The Division of State Companies in Niger State has arrested 17 suspects over the vandalism of interlocks, armoured cables, metals and different state authorities property on the streets of Minna.
The suspected vandals, whose ages vary from 18 to 70 years, had been arrested final Saturday between 11 pm and 1 am whereas carting away the stolen gadgets.
They used over seven manufacturers of automobiles, together with Tipper vans, J5 and tricycles to convey their booties earlier than safety operatives apprehended them.
The Senior Particular Assistant on Media to the Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Muktar Danladi, who spoke with The PUNCH on Monday, mentioned the suspects vandalised a number of the property meant for the development of the New Niger mission.
“The suspects went about vandalising authorities properties, together with interlocks, armoured cables, metals and rods. These things are meant for the development of the state authorities’s New Niger mission.
