The Deputy Senate President, Senator Jibrin Barau, has congratulated President Bola Tinubu on his 73rd birthday, describing him as a visionary leader.
According to him, the President’s reforms have helped to reshape the economy positively for the benefit of the present and future generations.
Barau disclosed this in a congratulatory message issued on Friday in Abuja by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ismail Mudashir.
“In the past 22 months of President Tinubu’s leadership, Nigeria has been repositioned for the benefit of both present and future generations. His initiatives are already bearing fruit, as evidenced by the continuous decrease in food prices, exchange rate stabilisation and improved security,” he said.
Continuing, Barau affirmed that Tinubu is working tirelessly to address the country’s challenges.
The senator, who is also the first Deputy Speaker of the ECOWAS Parliament, urged Nigerians to continue to pray for the country and to offer their full support to the President.
He said, “We at the National Assembly stand with the President on this journey to address our nation’s challenges. Let’s everyone join hands with us to move our country forward.”
Barau’s eulogy comes barely 24 hours after the presidency announced that it has scheduled a special prayer session for the President on Friday at the National Mosque in Abuja.
A statement by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, on Thursday said the President will use the occasion to thank God for preserving and supporting him in the onerous task of piloting the nation’s affairs.
