The Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Olufemi Abaniwonda, has reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to combating crime and ensuring public safety during the forthcoming Eid-el-Fitr celebrations.
In a goodwill message, CP Olufemi extended warm felicitations to all Muslim residents of the state celebrating the occasion.
He assured them of heightened security measures across Delta, stating, “Our officers have been deployed to all Muslim worship centres and strategic locations to maintain peace and protect lives and property.”

He urged the public to support the police and other security agencies in their efforts, adding, “We call on residents to remain security-conscious and law-abiding, taking necessary precautions not only at home but also in public places such as markets, worship centres, shopping malls, and highways.”
On behalf of the officers and men of the Delta State Police Command, CP Olufemi wished all Muslim faithful a happy and peaceful Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
