Former presidential spokesperson, Femi Adesina, has expressed concern about alleged distortion of the content in his recently launched book titled ‘Working With Buhari: Reflections of a Special Adviser, Media and Publicity (2015-2023).’
Adesina, who served as the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to former President Muhammadu Buhari, raised the alarm on his X handle on Saturday, clarifying that reports misrepresent the book’s content.
Some reports suggested that it mentioned the former president considering the rendition of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, amid alleged plots to assassinate him abroad.
Another claim suggests that the late Abba Kyari, Chief of Staff to Buhari, hindered Adesina’s role as the presidential spokesman, denying him access to Buhari for about five years.
In response, Adesina refuted these claims, stating that the reports lied about the content of his book.
The post reads, “Contortionists have begun to twist the content of my book, ‘Working with Buhari.’ They claim I said COS Abba Kyari denied me access to PMB for five years.
“They lie that there was a plot to kill Nnamdi Kanu abroad. Very opposite of things I wrote. And it’s written in English”.
