Popular Nigerian Comedian Emmanuel Iwueke, also known as Crazeclown, has shared a hilarious story about his friend, a trained therapist who relocated to Nigeria.

In a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), Crazeclown revealed that his friend had moved to Lagos to open a therapy clinic, but after a year, he ended up needing therapy himself.

According to the comedian, after months of trying to support clients through therapy, his friend found himself overwhelmed by unexpected challenges.

Some clients reportedly asked for financial assistance during their sessions, and at one point, he even got into a heated argument with a patient.

His tweet read;

“My guy who is a therapist relocated to Nigeria and opened a therapy clinic in Lagos. After one year, he hasn’t been able to help any client through therapy. Some clients dey beg am for financial support during their session he even had a fight with one of his patients.“

The story has sparked conversations online about the realities of mental health work in Nigeria and the pressures that therapists often face.

Below are some of the comments;

“Nigerians don’t need therapy they need money.”

“Seems like he needs a therapy himself after his experiences.”

“There are certain businesses that won’t last in this country. We are not yet wired for that. You may be coming out from Therapy session make another person provoke you inside the same building you had a therapy.”

“Your Friend Does Not Know That What Most Nigerians Are Facing Is Beyond Therapy.”
