Apostle Olulope Ogunlade of Cherubim and Seraphim Church, Ayotedo, Oke-Igbala, Odo-Ona, and Ibadan have called for measures to improve the country’s economic situation.
Ogunlade stated this on Wednesday at the church’s Shiloh 2024 program, where he urged the government at all levels to implement policies that promote economic stability, reduce inflation, create jobs, and support small businesses.
Ogunlade emphasised the importance of collaboration between the government, private sector, and civil society to foster an environment conducive to economic growth.
He highlighted the impact of economic hardship on the most vulnerable populations and the need for compassionate governance.
According to him, “The economy is hard on all the citizens of the country, especially during the festive period because things are now expensive and we don’t have a choice but to buy it because it’s our needs.
“I want government at all levels to find solutions to the problem we are facing today. In the area of premium motor spirit (petrol), because it’s a determinant of all that we are saying.”
Speaking on the theme, “My Yoke is light and my Burden is easy In Matthew 11-30,” Prophetess Olabisi Ogunlade said the church had experienced miraculous events in the last 10 years of the programme, attributing the same to God.
“I can tell you that some barren women have put to bed and this is a sign of divine blessing and so many other testimonies.”
Prophetess Ogunlade then encouraged Nigerians to move closer to God and pray for the peace of Jerusalem, “which is our country, Nigeria.
“We need to pray for our leaders for divine directions because what we are facing today can only be eased by divine intervention.
“We can’t continue like this except we called on God to intervene in the activities of this country,” she said.
