CJTF neutralize two bandits in Zamfara community

The Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) in Bilbis, Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State, neutralized two bandits during a daring raid at the town’s weekly market.

It was gathered that two operational motorcycles used by the criminals were also recovered during the operation.

According to intelligence sources, CJTF personnel engaged the armed bandits after intercepting their movements, neutralizing them in a fierce “fire-for-fire” confrontation.

“After the operation, the CJTF retreated to their base, leaving the bodies of the neutralized bandits in Bilbis,” a source confirmed.

The victory, however, triggered a retaliatory attack as other bandits stormed the town, shooting sporadically and causing unrest among residents.

The chaos prompted an immediate military response, with soldiers deployed to secure the area and restore calm.

As of the time of filing this report, security forces remain on high alert in Bilbis, conducting operations to prevent further attacks and ensure the safety of lives and property in the troubled community.
