Casual workers currently engaged in various MDAs in Bauchi State have been assured of preference once the process for employing 10,000 workers into the Civil Service begins.
The exercise will be conducted by the State Government through the State Civil Service Commission (CSC) in collaboration with the Office of the State Head of Civil Service, ensuring that casual workers are prioritised during the recruitment process.
This disclosure was made by the Chairman of the Bauchi State Civil Service Commission (CSC), Dr Ibrahim Alhaji Muhammad, during an interview with pressmen in his office on Wednesday.
Ibrahim Muhammad expressed his gratitude to the State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, for his appointment, pledging to justify the confidence reposed in him.
He stated that the Civil Service, as the engine room of the administration, would ensure that civil servants in the state are granted their rights in terms of progression, upgrading, equal opportunities, and other benefits.
He also reiterated his commitment to implementing changes that align with the Governor’s progressive reforms outlined in his blueprint, “My Bauchi Projects,” for the Civil Service of the state.
Ibrahim Muhammad revealed that the state governor has already approved the employment of 10,000 eligible indigenes across the 20 local government areas of the state.
The Chairman further stated that, now that the Governor has returned from the Lesser Hajj performed in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, he is expected to launch the state employment application portal, allowing eligible candidates to begin applying in earnest.
He called on all MDAs to provide maximum cooperation and ensure fairness, equality, and transparency during the recruitment exercise to make it seamless.
Ibrahim Muhammad urged the teeming unemployed youths to remain patient with the State Government and continue supporting the present administration in its efforts to engage them.
