A group under the auspices of All Progressive Congress (APC), Northwest Alliance for Good Governance has described as “unfortunate and ill-thought-out” the inclusion of Abdullahi Gwarzo, among the recently removed ministers by President Bola Tinubu.
The zonal coordinator, Northwest, Comrade Auwal Shuaibu made this known on Sunday while speaking with pressman, expressing displeasure over his removal
He however emphasised that “While we agree it was the prerogative and constitutional mandate of the President to select who to work with, removing Engr T Gwarzo, a high performing Junior Minister at the ministry of housing and urban development, is a massive error, on the part of the President.
“If there’s any junior minister who is propagating and working tirelessly to see the success of the Renewed Hope Agenda of this administration, then look no further to Gwarzo.
“He even surpassed some senior ministers in other ministries in terms of policy formulation, coordination and performance”
While speaking in the same vein the zonal secretary of the forum, Abbas Gamji expressed his shock and displeasure with the removal of Gwarzo.
He said, “Ruwa Baba, is not just a regular politician. He is a movement who had been working for the success of this administration and the country.
“He is a more formidable, popular and refined grassroot politician who had used his position to help not only Kano people, but the entire region and even country as a whole.
“Even during the EndBadGovernance protests, he was the go-between the protesters and government, in a bid for a peaceful resolution of the impasse.
“Gwarzo was the only Minister assesible to people all over the country regardless of faith, region or political learnings, so we find it inconceivable as to why such an individual with stellar performance got booted. The president should reflect on his decisionand do the needful.”
