Former Ebonyi State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Get together, PDP, Silas Onu, has emerged winner of the celebration’s major bye-election forward of the Ebonyi South Senatorial zone election on Feb. 3.

Onu polled a complete of 143 votes to defeat his solely opponent, Sen. Amah Nnachi, who didn’t get any vote within the election.
The PDP Major bye-election committee led by Mr Lekan Rotimi judged the election as credible, free and truthful.

“Chief Silas Onu having complied with the related electoral regulation and the PDP major election guideline and having received the bulk lawful votes is hereby declared the winner and returned elected because the PDP candidate for the Ebonyi South Senatorial district.
