Nigerian forward Victor Boniface, a key player for Bayer Leverkusen, has been recognized for his outstanding contributions this season by being nominated for the EA Bundesliga Team of the Season.
Boniface played a pivotal role in Bayer Leverkusen‘s historic achievement of clinching their first-ever Bundesliga title. Despite missing 11 games due to injury, he has managed to score 11 goals, making him one of the joint-top scorers for Xabi Alonso’s side.
His performance was highlighted by his crucial goal in Bayer Leverkusen’s emphatic 5-0 victory over Werder Bremen, which sealed their championship triumph.
Now, Boniface finds himself in contention for a place in the Bundesliga Team of the Season alongside notable names like Harry Kane, Serhou Guirassy, and Leroy Sané.
Granit Xhaka, another standout player for Bayer Leverkusen, has also received a nomination for his exceptional midfield contributions throughout the season.
The final selection for the 11-man team, comprising one goalkeeper, four defenders, three midfielders, and three attackers, will be determined through a combination of fan, club, and expert votes.
