The 2023 Labour Party, LP, presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has advised the federal government to leave entertainers, especially crossdressers out of the polity.
He gave the advice while reacting to the saga of embattled crossdresser, Idris Okuneye, aka Bobrisky on a recent episode of the Honest Bunch Podcast.
He insinuated that Bobrisky and most of his colleagues started cross-dressing due to economic reasons.
The former Anambra State governor argued that more men would become crossdressers if the government decided to make policies that favour women.
“When somebody told me about Bobrisky, I said ‘listen, these are entertainers that should not be brought into the polity.’
“It’s entertainment. If today, our government decides to say fuel is now N800 per litre but N400 per litre for females, the number of men that will wear female dresses will surprise you.
“So, let’s deal with our problems,” Obi said.
