Rev. Ejike Nwachukwu of Christ Ascension Church of Nigeria has called on Nigerians, including politicians, to be mindful of how they live their lives, regardless of their religion.
According to Rev. Ejike, the way people live their lives can either be a blessing or a curse and can even determine whether they live longer or die prematurely, as life is temporal.
Rev. Nwachukwu made this statement during the funeral service of the late Elder Akuma Nwaeze Emmanuel at Amankwu Isiata, Amanato, Anioma Isu in Onicha Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.
He urged everyone to begin reflecting on the kind of lives they live, noting that today’s parents have failed their generation.
“It hurts to see how people have failed their generation. No matter the kind of life you live today, your reward is waiting for you. Your position in the Federal, State, or Local Government will not save you,” he said.
On his part, Emeka Eze Emmanuel, the first son of the late Chief Emmanuel Eze, promised to continue upholding the legacy his father left behind.

“The legacy I would like to continue from my father is his peaceful nature. He loved unity. He was not a biased man; he stood for justice and fairness. I promise to humble myself to ensure that unity is sustained,” he said.
Chief Rosemary Emmanuel Eze, the first daughter of the deceased, described her father as a pillar of peace.
“My father was such a peaceful person who, until his death, never pointed at anyone as an enemy. That is a part of his life I truly want to emulate because it is not common among humans on earth,” she said.
She also commended her father for providing her with quality education, which has significantly contributed to her success in life, and she urged other parents to give their children equal love regardless of their gender.
“The era when women suffered because they didn’t have a male child is gone, as our country is witnessing tremendous achievements from women.
“I call on parents to cherish whatever gender God gives them as children. Nurture them well, train them, and pray to God to help you so that when they grow up, they will not depart from it. Whatever you impart on your child is what you will reap in return. Never despise any child; male or female, they are all important because you never know which child God will use to bless you and your family,” she said.
The burial was attended by the Senator representing Ebonyi South, Senator Anthony Ani, the PDP gubernatorial candidate in the 2023 general election, Chief Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii, and many other dignitaries.
