Bauchi State Commissioner of Health, Dr Adamu Umar Sambo has charged the contractor handling and construction of the new General Hospital in Gumau to speed up the project.
The Commissioner stressed that, there is the need to end the challenges bedevilling the state health sector by ensuring that the infrastructure needed are made available.
The Commissioner was speaking during an unscheduled inspection visit paid to the facility in Gumau on Sunday in order to assess the phase of the project and ascertain that it is done in accordance with the specifications and contractual agreement.
Admau Sambo made the charge saying that the biggest dream of the Governor, Sen Bala Muhammad Abdulkadir is to end the challenges facing the health sector in the state in no distant time.
He added that the Governor will do every possible to provide adequate and standard healthcare facilities in the state as there is a need for more of such in order to fully revamp the sector.
The Commissioner equally called on the people of Toro local to continue praying for and supporting the Governor and his council members to work in the interest of the people of the state.
In his remarks, the contractor, Alhaji Khalifa Rishi assured the Commissioner that the work would be completed in no distance time as it has almost reached the level of completion.
He thanked the Governor for considering Toro in the delivery of his service to the people of Bauchi State especially in the healthcare delivery services.
