Bauchi State Governor, Sen. Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has approved the appointment of the Commissioner for Budget, Economic Planning and Multilateral Coordination, Alh. Aminu Hammayo as the new Secretary to the State Government (SSG).
Aminu Hammayo, who had served in the same capacity under the administration of former Governor, Mal Isa Yuguda, is replacing Barr Kashim Ibrahim who resigned his appointment in controversial circumstances few weeks ago.
The Governor also approved the appointment of Special Adviser, Special Duties, Alhaji Hashimu Yakubu Kumbala as the new Principal Private Secretary (PPS) to the Governor to replace, Pharm Samaila Adamu Burga who was elected as the State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
These appointments reflect Governor Bala Mohammed’s commitment to effective governance and his vision for a more inclusive and progressive administration.

Aminu Hammayo, a seasoned administrator and public servant, has served Bauchi State with distinction in various capacities, earning a reputation for excellence, diligence, and unwavering dedication to public service.
He was a one time Secretary to the State Government and until his new appointment, he was the Hon. Commissioner Budget and Multilateral Coordination, Bauchi State .
Alh.Hashimu Kumbala, an experienced administrator will serve as the Principal Private Secretary to the Governor.
In this capacity, he will provide critical administrative and advisory support to the Governor, ensuring effective communication and coordination within the government.
He is a retired Permanent Secretary and until his new appointment, he was the Special Adviser to the Governor on General Service.
The new appointees will be sworn in today , Friday 27th December, 2024 at the Executive Council Chamber , Government House, Bauchi by 12noon as contained in a statement by Mukhtar Gidado, Special Adviser Media and Publicity to the Governor.
