Civil servants in Bauchi state have been warned against lackadaisical behaviours, absenteeism and dereliction of duties in the new year, 2025.
The warning was contained in the New Year, 2025 message by the Chairman of Bauchi State Civil Service Commission (BSCSC), Abubakar Usman.
He also commended the State Governor, Bala Mohammed and his cabinet for their commitment to the progress and development of Bauchi State, particularly civil service reforms.
He urged the workers to recommit themselves to their official duties and emphasised that workers need to reciprocate the gesture done to them by the present administration for implementing the new minimum wage of N70,000 to civil servants in the state.
He warned that lackadaisical attitudes, such as absenteeism, habitual lateness, and leaving work before the scheduled time, will no longer be tolerated.
The Chairman called on all staff to exhibit discipline and dedication, stressing that misconduct will be addressed decisively
He expressed optimism that 2025 will be a productive and peaceful year, free from challenges, and wished all staff a prosperous New Year and a joyful yuletide celebration.
