The Nigerian Army has held a meeting with the management of Banex Plaza in Wuse, Abuja, to identify and apprehend the perpetrators of Saturday’s attack on some soldiers.
Recall that the Nigerian Army formally announced the closure of Banex Plaza.
The meeting comes as part of efforts to ensure the safety and security of the Federal Capital Territory and to prevent further incidents of this nature.
According to the Director of Army Public Relations, Major General Onyema Nwachukwu, the meeting aimed to identify and apprehend the perpetrators of the attack.

Major General Nwachukwu noted that to achieve this, activities in the plaza will be temporarily shut down to enable an extensive investigation to be conducted at the scene.
“The investigation will seek to determine both the immediate and underlying causes of the incident.
The Army has also urged members of the public to report any grievances or misconduct by personnel through established channels to the appropriate authorities.
